Position Summary

The Executive Director is the senior executive officer of the PCN. The Executive Director is responsible and accountable for leading the operational team in the planning, delivery, and evaluation of PCN programs and services in support of the vision, mission and Business Plan of the PCN. The Executive Director will develop and maintain strong working relationships with key stakeholders and leaders to provide operational leadership and oversee all related programs and services. The Executive Director establishes and maintains positive relationships with key local, provincial, and national representatives and health care stakeholders including government departments and officials.

What you will do...
  • Implementation and operationalization of the business plan through the PCN
  • Extensive collaboration with joint partners and other key stakeholders within the PCN and across the North Zone
  • Leading the process of development and management of the PCN budget
  • Service program planning, implementation, and evaluation
  • Development and support of quality assurance and risk management strategies
  • Management of a multidisciplinary team of professionals and support staff
What you need to succeed...
  • Strategic thinking, leadership, and business acumen, together with experience in system-level thinking, consensus building and conflict resolution
  • Five or more years of leadership and management experience, demonstrating advancement in responsibility preferred, ten or more years is an asset
  • Five or more years recent experience at various levels of the Alberta health care system is preferred, ten or more years is an asset
  • Graduate degree/education in a health-related field is preferred
  • Experience in board relationships, business operations, information technology, project/change management, financial management, data analytics, human resources, communication, and relationship building is preferred
  • A demonstrated background of building high-performing multidisciplinary teams and managing multiple stakeholder relationships will be regarded highly
