The Bonnyville Primary Care Network has Family Practice Nurses to assist the physicians in seeing patients with multiple medical problems such as high blood pressure, high cholesterol, diabetes, chronic bronchitis, rheumatoid arthritis and other long-term health problems that need require them to see a doctor on a more regular basis.

The nurses assist the physicians with assessments, ordering lab tests, prescription renewals, providing health teaching and offering suggestions on healthy lifestyle improvements including healthy eating, active living, weight control and smoking cessation.

Nurse Practitioners are seeing patients with chronic diseases as well.  They are able to offer a wide range of support for those living with multiple medicals problems (as mentioned above).  Our Nurse Practitioners are able to assist patients with assessments, ordering lab tests, prescription renewals providing health teaching and offering suggestions on healthy lifestyle improvements including healthy eating, active living, weight control and smoking cessation.
